The Energy Efficiency Grant supports businesses in adopting energy-efficient equipment through co-funding investments in energy-efficient equipment. As announced at Budget 2024, the EEG will be expanded to more sectors from 1 April 2024.

Sectors Eligible

As of 30 December 2024, eligible companies (based on company’s ACRA registered primary or secondary SSIC code) from these sectors will be able to tap on the EEG.

  • Construction
  • Food Services
  • Manufacturing (including Food Manufacturing)
  • Maritime
  • Retail sectors
  • Users of data centres

Grant Highlights

  • Support Cap per Company: $30,000
  • Support Rate until 31 March 2026:
    • Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs): Up to 70% of equipment costs
    • Non-SMEs: Up to 30% of equipment costs
  • Supported Equipment: Refer to GoBusiness for the list of pre-approved equipment for the DC sector. The equipment purchased must be used within a commercial DC in Singapore.

Until 31 March 2026

Advanced Tier Up to S$350,000 across Base and Advanced Tiers EE equipment need not be pre-approved, but must demonstrate energy savings above 350 tonnes lifetime carbon abatement Lower of:

  • Support levels under the Base Tier; or
  • Grant quantum computed based on EE equipment’s expected lifetime energy savings

Note:
Companies have up to 1 year from the grant’s approval to purchase, install the equipment, and submit reimbursement claims.

After submitting an application, companies may proceed with the purchase before receiving a decision. However, if the application is unsuccessful, companies will not be eligible for reimbursement.

Who can apply

Businesses registered and operating in Singapore, with at least one local employee and a group annual sales turnover not exceeding $500 million, are eligible for the grant.
